I mentioned in my last post that my next project was Halloween costumes for our dogs. We have 2 female Weimaraners...Cali & Minne. They are are spoiled rotten so it's only fitting that they have boutique Halloween costumes...right?!?!? :)
I used Simplicity pattern #2159 (Large Dog Costumes) Option A (Bunny)
I have to tell you, the pattern was SUPER EASY to use! There were quite a few small details to attend to but their instructions were very easy to use and follow, the only part of the pattern I altered was using faux fur for the insides of the ears instead of contrasting fleece. The details were very specific, they even walk you through making the pom pom tail.I used Simplicity pattern #2159 (Large Dog Costumes) Option A (Bunny)
Time: Start to finish it took me 5 hours to completely finish both costumes.
Cost:
Simplicity Pattern (Joann's Columbus Day Sale) = $0.99
2 pkgs Velcro (BOGO @ Joann's) = $2.40
2 yards pink fleece (BOGO @ Joann's) = $3.99
1 pkg faux white fur (w/40% off coupon) = $1.19
No cost for Elastic, Yarn & Carboard since I already had them.
TOTAL Cost = $8.57
That's barely over $4.00 for each costume!!
And here are the final projects...
